Springtime in Savannah is famous for blooming flowers, shady trees, temperate weather and unique events. The Savannah College of Art and Design is responsible for three of Savannah’s most impressive spring events: the SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival, SCAD Sand Arts Festival and SCADStyle.

Join a worldwide celebration of design during SCADStyle 2016, happening April 11-14, 2016! This annual event celebrates the best in design including fashion, interior design, jewelry design and more. Style leaders from around the world will describe the artistry, energy and inspiration that drive their creativity during lectures, workshops and intimate conversations. Speakers, events and more will be announced here.

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, the sidewalks of Forsyth Park will transform into works of art during the 35th Annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival. SCAD students, alumni and high school students will create tableaux vivants— or “living pictures” — and compete for coveted prizes. Great food and live music will also be available, making this the perfect Saturday afternoon event for the entire family!

Enjoy the feeling of sand between your toes at the SCAD Sand Arts Festival on Friday, May 6, 2016. Tybee Island’s beloved North Beach will be the temporary home for a plethora of impressive sand sculptures ranging in size, scale and subject. Watch in awe as elaborate creations rise from the sand while listening to the sounds of the sea.
